We consider OTTP applications at any time of the academic year, and the start and end dates of the OTTP are arranged according to the circumstances of the teacher and school.
Don't forget that the OTT must provide evidence of meeting the entry requirements for ITT: GCSE C or better in English and maths (and science if teaching in a primary age range), a degree, teacher training AND current teacher registration if the country of origin has a teacher registration or licencing system.
OTTs from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA are now eligible for QTS without doing the OTTP if they have permanent teacher registration (not provisional). The DfE website has details, and the application form.
